Printing from any device using Everyone Print
This service allows you to print from your own device as long as you are on the Brampton or Sault Ste. Marie campus. Connect to public wifi on the campus from your device and gain access to different printing options. You will still need to use your PIN or student/staff card to release the print job. Q1. How to login?
Make sure you are on campus (student/staff/faculty) connected to AU-Public or AU-STAFFSECURE or connected to VPN (Virtual Private Network only available to staff/faculty) from home in order to visit the application URL.
Go to http://print.algomau.ca
Login with the same username and password as your student/employee portal.
Q2. How to print directly from Everyone print?
Once you login, by default it takes you to My Print Jobs.
Choose a file to upload from your device (Phone / PC) and click ok. Once it successfully uploads click next.
Once you click next, you should be able to see the print job waiting to be released right at the bottom of the page. See Q8 to see how to release a job.
Q3. How to Web print?
You can simply upload a document as shown in Q2.
Or you can copy the address from the top of the browser window
and paste the website address (found at the top of your browser) to the Web address to print section.
Then click Next and it will be sent to the queue, and will need to be released at a printer on campus.

Q4. How to print through email?
You can use your gmail app on your phone or a browser from any device you like.
Simply send an email with the documents attached that you would like to print at email@example.com
You will receive a confirmation within 3 to 4 minutes maximum:
After receiving the confirmation, your print job is in the queue and will require you to login into a unit that is accessible on campus to release your print job.
Q5. How to use the Google Cloud Print? This makes the printer available to you on chromebooks or pixelbooks.
Follow the instructions in order to add the appropriate Printer.
Q6. How to use Drive Print for Windows 10 on your personal laptop?
To print directly from the programs on your computer, add a printer to your computer by following these simple steps:
Make sure you are on campus and connected to AU public wifi.
Go to the search box on the bottom of your PC screen and type Printer.
Select Printer and Scanners and it will open the following page:
3. Click on Add printer and Scanners and then select “The printer that I want isn't listed”
Click the Select a shared printer by name and enter the exact address below:

A window will open saying Connecting to.. This may take a few minutes depending on the network connection
In the list of manufacturers on the left, select Xerox and then scroll down to select Xerox GPD PS V3.9.520.6.0
If you have the printer as shown above then go to Step 7 directly but if you cannot find this then please follow the instructions below to add the driver:
Select built-in controller and select the appropriate operating system
Scroll down and select the PS Driver - 64-bit, Xerox User Interface - Microsoft Certified for Windows 10 64 bit operating system.
It will open the End User License Agreement - scroll down and Agree.
It will start the download process - select download folder and click ok.
Go to the download folder and double click on:
Automatically it will take you to Step 5, if not then please go to step 5.
Click Ok and then it should connect you to the printer.
A success message will appear, click Next to finish.
Once done, the Au Printer will now show p in your Printer lists.
Once you release the job using drive print, you won’t be able to edit it in http://print.algomau.ca so make sure you select the appropriate settings before you send it to the printer.
Q7. How to release the print job?
Login into http://print.algomau.ca (Q1)
All documents waiting to be released no matter which option you are using, it will show up in My Print job page at the bottom. If the status says Awaiting process then just click refresh on the right side of the tab and the document will show up as Awaiting release status. This is where you can choose if you want to delete the print job.
If you wish to delete the job then you have to do it before you send it to the printer using the option shown above. As once you select the printer, you won’t be able to delete the job.
Go to a unit on campus and release the print job by entering your PIN or swiping your staff/student card.
Select the appropriate printer by checking in the right box beside the printer name. Sault Ste Marie (SSM) or Brampton (BR).
Once you check the box, the advanced option will be shown for you to select if you want double sided, black and white or how many copies you want to print. Choose the one according to your need.
Once all selected, click on the printer name in order to send the job.
Now all you have to do is go to a printer on campus in order to release the job.
You can login by swiping your Student / Staff / Faculty Id card or you can use the alternate login. For alternate login you need to use your printing code to login which can be found in your student/employee portal under Profile Tab.
Q8. How to add a default Printer?
Go to http://print.algomau.ca and login. (Q1)
Click on My Printers tab.
Check in the box in order to select the printer and if you wish you can rename it as you like and then save changes.
Now everytime you go to release a print job under My Print Jobs tab, the only one that will show is the one you made default.
AUPrinter1 - For Staff/Faculty of Sault Ste. Marie
AUPrinter2 - For Students of Sault Ste. Marie
BRPrinter - For all Staff/Faculty/Students of Brampton.
