In order to secure all student/staff/faculty accounts, we added an extra layer of security to all Algoma Gmail accounts. We included this information in a couple of communication memo and also put in the announcement in the portal to let people know that if they don't set this on the time period given, it will be enforced after a certain time and without 2 Factor authentication setup the user will be locked out. If you are getting the following message that means you are already locked out. 


Gmail Error: Your sign-in settings don't meet your organization's 2-Step Verification policy. Contact your admin for more info. 



 



Solution: In that case, please create a ticket by clicking on  IT Service Desk
